  • a not very traditional, but still very good vegan caesar at Ladybird near Tompkins Square. Flavors were on point, and as someone who doesn't eat a lot of vegan I was left very satisfied.

  • Ladybird- i think they use just egg as their vegan substitute for scrambled eggs and also make a vegan egg yolk which is really good

  • replying to u/MLGDlite: Avant Garden or any restaurant owned by Overthrow Hospitality is a great date spot. Always good cocktails and all of their interiors are super sexy.

I find that the interiors are not exactly… refined (Ladybird in particular is more shabby chic than the rest.), but food and service-wise, love these restaurants.

  • replying to u/Running-rainbow: So far: Dirt Candy Ladybird abcV Avant-garden But no info about the dining experience of these - Spicy Moon has come up a lot but it’s not what we are looking for.

Lady bird is more relaxed but again the food is bland/forgettable

  • My friend liked but I did not like Thyme & Tonic, Risoterria Melotti, Ladybird. I thought they were bland, expensive, and I left hungry.

  • I’ve been to Ladybird and it was very solid. Mushroom toast was on point.
