replying to u/Seyi_Ogunde: I had this last week. Yes Uzuki. That's the duck soba. Just a head's up, the duck is a bit rawish, so it's not for everyone. The salmon soba was much better in my opinion. Can get a bit crowded at night, so might be good to get reservations, but got seated at lunch at the counter. Seating at the counter is nice. Interior decorations are fantastic.

replying to u/eyeholdtheline: Sobaya is fine, but I think Cocoron is better. Probably the best Soba in NYC right now is in Greenpoint: https://www.uzuki-ny.com/. Worth the trip 100%. Just curious, when you were in Industry City did you see the Soba noodle stall across from Sunrise Mart? (You didn’t miss much, I found their soba to be meh.) My favorite classic soba noodle dish is served hot with sliced duck breast.

replying to u/liberacorpus: Torishin - Japanese yakitori is easily gluten free. They have a GF dipping sauce they can sub in. Fish Cheeks - lots of items are GF and it's clearly labeled on their menus Uzuki - Most soba has some wheat in it but they use 100% buckwheat. I think the entire menu is GF
