Very few people talk about it Demo - awesome wine bar in the west village that serves us quality dishes with a great wine selection Claud - definitely gets praised but I think it’s still underrated. The dishes and deserts are some of the best I’ve had

replying to u/interrob4ng: I actually interviewed to run their kitchen before I ended up at my current spot. They gave me a bad vibe and I never heard from them again. My experience was in a different sector of the industry so I get not getting a call back. But they basically wanted to emulate the Danny & Coop’s model of selling out early to try and build FOMO/hype. The backer with restauranteur/industry experience behind the scenes also runs the wine bar Demo in the same area. Never got the chance to come back and try the sandwich but they can get fucked pricing it at $28. That’s absurd. I’m sure they won’t struggle for a crowd with him being TikTok famous but eventually they’ll have to have a real menu if they expect to be anything more than a flash in the pan. Also wouldn’t be shocked if he had VC/angel investors backing him with who his dad is. Clearly they have money to burn.
