A Fujianese spot on Division St that people recommend over Shu Jiao Fu Zhou for the longer menu. Get the , the sweet and sour pork ribs with fried taro, and the fried oyster cakes. The and the lychee pork also come up. Staff don't speak much English, so ordering can be a struggle.

  • replying to u/TaroTeaTime: Peanuts noodles so good, idk if this place has the fried taro triangles but those hit also. Don’t know what it is called but those and the fried circles are so good.

New Arping on Division St sell those. The Fuzhou fried oyster cakes are addictive.

The fried taro triangle and Fuzhou wonton soup were both very good

  • replying to u/crazeman: Sanmiwago is a Taiwanese chain that has this really good beef noodle soup, I personally like them better than Ho Food. There's 2 locations in Chinatown. Also you can call me fucking crazy but I swear that the [Sanmiwago location at Mott Street Eatery](https://www.yelp.com/biz/sanmiwago-new-york) taste a lot better than the standalone Sanmiwago store on the corner down the block lol. The soup taste more herbal and rich and more flavorful for whatever reason. Pan fried dumplings are also pretty good, but it feels bad paying double the price of the "dollar" dumplings spot. (Disclaimer: I've been to Mott Street Eatery location twice and the standalone store once). \--- [Tofu Tofu](https://www.yelp.com/biz/tofu-tofu-new-york-5) is a Korean restaurant on Bowery. I like their Korean fried chicken a lot. It's thicker than most KFC but not as thick as American Fried Chicken. Also they don't drench the chicken with the soy/honey sauce, they just drizzle it. ALSO the best part is that they will give you a whole selection of banchan spread to snack on with your order. (I love their banchan lol) They have a sister restaurant called Tada on Bayard that specialize in their fried chicken but I think they just give you some kimchi instead of the whole banchan spread so go to Tofu Tofu instead. \--- There's a [meat skewer cart](https://goo.gl/maps/zDqUySBMzkLpdv3S8) in front of the D train Grand St. Station that opens at around 5pm on days with good weather and they close pretty la…

Their sweet and sour pork ribs with fried taro, stir fried rice cakes and peanut butter noodles are good.

  • I recommend New Arping as an alternative - cheap rice dishes, clam chow mei fun is crack and the peanut butter noodle is good too.

  • replying to u/rcb4d: Until I find better ones, I will continue to stand on line for SJFZ’s peanut noodles. It always seems to move well enough to be worth it. Their dumplings are solid too, but we prefer Super Taste overall.

I like New Arping's peanut noodles better. They have a much more extensive menu too.

  • I had it from New Arping and it was good, but looked different from the crispy version I've seen on youtube.
