replying to u/thansal: The kinda standard list goes: * Superiority Burger - fucking duh. * Dirt Candy - fucking duh. * Carvan of Dreams - old school hippie * [Overthrow Hospitality](https://www.overthrowhospitality.com/) - Vegan in whatever style you want, I love them. * Spicy Moon - Vegan Szechuan, awesome. * jajaja - vegan Mexican, bit heavy on the fake <animal products> front for my tastes (though my lactose intolerance does like things like vegan sour cream). * Ro's Diner - Reincarnation of Champ's, a greasy spoon. * Hangawii - Vegan Korean * Just about anywhere - Vegetarian is pretty well represented in most good restaurants (with obvious exceptions for the temples of meat). Le Bernardin is supposed to have a good veg menu, as do a few other top tasting menu places. Indian food. etc.

replying to u/Dependent-Rooster-45: Jajaja Vegan Mexican is great (although the location closest to you is inside the Hudson Yards Whole Foods). If you wander further up into the West 40s, I recommend Obao Thai & Vietnamese (honestly lots of great Thai on 9th Ave), Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles 2, and Kashkaval Garden. Planta is east of you and has some excellent dishes (sushi). I would definitely recommend heading downtown and hitting up Avant Garden (vegetable-forward), Al-Andalus (Andalusian), and Bodhi Kosher Vegetarian (dim sun). Chloe's is fantastic fast-casual vegan food (and try the baked goods!) Orchard Grocer for deli/grocery. Dirt Candy for fine dining. And I will second Spicy Moon! So good, especially the Dan Dan noodles and dumplings in chili oil.
