replying to u/katkrazed: Thank you for the reccomendations and also insight about Tonchin! If you had to choose, would you do Raku or Cocoron? I also saw Sobaya, but ended up landing with Cocoron. Unfortunately, my city, Chicago, only thinks Japanese food is either ramen or sushi and hasn't yet opened up to all the other great Japanese dishes.

replying to u/yakitorispelling: I used to frequent Hakata Tonton a lot when they were in the West Village, and people would just get mad that there was no sushi. The logo is literally a pig. They eventually started serving sushi. People are fucking stupid.
