replying to u/RamenIsDelicious: I always recommend Jackson Heights in Queens for questions like this, since it has a lot of good inexpensive food options and some more variety than you might find in one of the Chinatown areas (which are also great options). It's also easily accessible on the 7 train, which, depending on where you are in Brooklyn, might be easy to connect to from the G train. Here is a general itinerary I've posted before and done with a couple of groups of friends with some variations: * Start with Nepali beef broth-covered jhol momos at **Nepali Bhancha Ghar** ($10 for 8 large dumplings, plus tax and tip), which was the 4x consecutive Momo Crawl winner until 2022, and/or Tibetan beef momos at **Phayul** a couple of blocks away ($8 for 8, plus tax and tip), which also serves noodle soups or, my favorite, a radish and chili beef soup that is wonderful in cold weather; * Get tacos al pastor at the taco truck **Antojitos Charly** right on the other side of Roosevelt Boulevard from Nepali Bhancha Ghar (two tacos for $6); * Walk a bit down Roosevelt to the Japanese cafe **969 NYC Coffee** for some matcha and a fried oyster "onigirazu" (large nori-wrapped rice sandwiches) ($4 for a large matcha and $6 or $7 or so for the oyster onigirazu if I remember right); and * Walk further down Roosevelt to get some Mexican ceviche, aguachile and beers at **Mariscos El Submarino** ($21 for a large serving of aguachile mixto that can easily serve 2-3 people, $6 for a bottle of beer).
