replying to u/114631: Get off at the Jackson Height's/Roosevelt Ave subway stop and you're a stone's throw away from a number of Momo places. A lot of popular (and good ones) are Lhasa Fast Food, Mom's Momo's (truck), Bhanchha Ghar, Phayul. They're all pretty much within a five block radius of that subway.

replying to u/IWantYorkBitesBack: **Angel** can get plenty spicy if you ask. Most of the momo spots have quite spicy hot sauce - my favorite in terms of hot sauce is **Lhasa Fast Food**, though **Om Wok** has my favorite momo in the neighborhood. You've got to add the hot sauce yourself though, the food won't come spicy. To me, nobody outdoes the Thai restaurants in terms of pure heat. I've tried all the Thai places in JH and Elmhurst, and **Ayada** has gotten the spiciest out of any of them for me, though realistically you can feel the burn at any of them. Again, you have to ask for it, but they will actually do it!

replying to u/RNova2010: Yes, you need to go to Queens for authentic eats. Chinatown in Manhattan is very much a tourist spot. Go to Flushing Chinatown instead. You could follow the 7 train from Woodside to Flushing and you will experience the world, you can eat in Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Tibet, India, Thailand, and China. My recommendations: Playground (Thai) in Jackson Heights Khao Nom (Thai) in Elmhurst Urubamba (Peruvian) in Jackson Heights Taco El Veloz in Jackson Heights Henan Feng Wei (He Nan Hui Mian) (Chinese - Xian noodles) in Flushing

replying to u/thansal: As everyone said, you went all out. How did you get out to Bayside? Bus/taxi or did you have a car? For Playground: don't sleep on their crispy pork, I honestly think it's one of the best around. We tend to get a pad kra pao w/ moo grob, the 'curried rice croquets' (Nam Khao Tod, this is my death row dish, though I think Hug Esan does it a little better) and the fried pork jerky (perfect 'good w/ beer' food). Momo Crave: My favorite momos, but I honestly tend to not like momos (just a style/taste thing). We've always described indo-chinese Chilli flavor as 'like Gen. Tso's but way better', and theirs is super addicting. That said, I think the sukuti and sandeko are even more unique (and spicy), 100% worth trying those next time. Also, their veg filling is my favorite for whatever reason.
