replying to u/Laridianresistance: I think your context is super important - it's basically midtown office fare/tourist fare and that's why it's rated highly. It's my favorite thai in the area (I live here) but it's certainly not elmhurst level stuff. It is, however, pretty good in my eyes and definitely worth what you pay for (it's not crazy expensive). OP seems too critical imo, it's pretty decent thai food. It's important to always take ratings and reviews in context - it's competing in the area with the milquetoast likes of the smith and La Pecora Bianca (which is actually pretty okay in my eyes). If anyone wants legit asian food, Spice Mantra is up the block (my indian gf considers it the only serious indian restaurant in the neighboorhood), and izakayas on 53rd like Lucky Cat.
