replying to u/instapumper: I’m a big fan of Grill 21, because they are not trying to do a modern take on Filipino food. They just make everything the traditional way that I grew up eating. Everything is super tasty from the lumpia, tocino, sinigang, Laing, Kare Kare. I feel like they don’t get a lot of talk about them because they aren’t doing anything really instagramable. I don’t have anything against any of these newer Filipino restaurants, but sometimes you just want regular home style Filipino food at decent prices.
