replying to u/defect: Not super fancy or interesting, but the carne asada con hongos at Fonda. Preferably with a side of esquites. Had it the first time at their EV location which is now closed but the other locations also nail it. Every time I go back I keep thinking I should get something else, but usually end up ordering it again.

replying to u/Ness_tea_BK: Within 10 mins (walking) of Hudson yards, I’ve eaten at the following places that I enjoyed: Fonda and kahlo (Mexican). Personally I think Fonda has better food and prices but if you’re looking for a really beautiful place with cool ambiance kahlo is a really nice restaurant. But it’s very expensive and small portions. Otooles way is a decent Irish bar with a lot of room for a group Porteno is a pretty good Argentinian place but it’s small. May be tough depending on group size. Porchlight is good for drinks and small/light bites but it is on the pricier side.
