replying to u/xlaurenthead: So, right next door is Patent Pending which is a sort of secret bar in the back of Patent Coffee. The shop will appear to be closed but the door is unlocked. Someone will see you to the cocktail bar. It’s likely just what you’re looking for with lots of intimate spaces and a really great selection of inventive cocktails. Apparently used to be the laboratory space of Nikola Tesla

There are a trillion craft cocktail bars if you're looking for something a little more unique. Places I like Strip house (union square) Gage and tollner ( the bar and the speakeasy upstairs, sunken harbor) Gallaghers Up and up Patent pending The raines law room Del Frisco's grille ( I might just like their flatbread pizzas)
