I’d also point you to: Tacos El Bronco, Yafa Cafe, Tacos Matamoros (sunset park) Syko (Syrian/Korean food in south slope, mostly under $20) Runner and stone (gowanus) Four and twenty blackbirds (gowanus) is just pie slices not meals but man you can get a great dessert for under $10 there any remaining Papaya dog location and also shake shack are always solid under $20 standbys for me Govinda’s (downtown brooklyn) is a Hare Krishna restaurant with great vegan/vegetarian food that’s mostly south Indian cuisine

replying to u/CabassoG: The only Syrian spots in the city are Laila in Bay Ridge and SYKO, a mix of Syrian and Korean food in Windsor Terrace. I haven't had the latter, but they have shawarma on the menu.
