replying to u/JoKir77: For steak with a special vibe, Keens would be my suggestion. Been around forever with a unique, old-school NY interior. Steaks are on par with the other high end steak places. You can get out for under $300 if you go easy on the alcohol. And much better than trendy places like STK.

“The tomahawk, chicken parm, porter house for two, steamed broccoli, asparagus, the potatoe dishes. Mac & cheese, lobster Mac. Combination of this usually delivered to us and we enjoyed it. Plus a bunch of desserts. Always enjoyed it.”

Empire has the Emperor's Cut, which is a porterhouse but with a much larger portion of filet Roccos is a standard steakhouse but done really well Keens has great ambiance but the mutton has made me sick and they serve their porterhouse standing vertically on a wood board, which is a sin. You can never really go wrong with Wolfgang's except for the one on Park which can be very loud Strip House is good, but tight and the food is just okay Luger's is good ,but keep your expectations down o earth
