replying to u/friendlyNYCguy: An upscale great vibe strakhouse is maestros Mistown west. Its been awhile but had great meal and fun there. Also a fav, is rocco’s in the 20’s madison. Italian steakhouse. Steak is peter lugers and they also have excellent italian dishes as well.

I’ll add from steakhouses in the order of my favorites- Strawberry Shortcake from Smith and Wollensky, butter cake from Del Frisco’s Double Eagle, carrot cake from Keen’s, and the 24 layer chocolate cake from Strip House.

Love the modern retro vibe at Monterey and their crowd is fun. You can hate on the chains but I eat at the bar at Mastros ( live music) and Ocean Prime often and always enjoy myself.
