replying to u/jaded_toast: I've only been to the bakery, but based on this sub, I always thought I was the outlier opinion. Went once, got a small tray of items. I thought some were pretty good, most were ok. They didn't feel different enough to be a 'new' take on classics or to justify how much more expensive they were compared to a traditional bakery counterpart. And I really, really hated the doughnut. It was so greasy that it soaked the little tray liner and left a pool of oil underneath. As someone who loves black sesame, one of my biggest critiques of most places that do a sesame dessert is that it's almost like they're afraid of it tasting like something, and that doughnut had, from what I could tell, no discernible black sesame in the dough and only a little ground sesame as part of the sugar coating.
