replying to u/poopmast: No not really. Depends on what you want. Better off going to Katagiri, Dainobu, Japan Village, Mogu Mogu or even Wegmans. Mitsuwa is a bit more expensive than most of the Manhattan Japanese grocery stores. Kinokuniya, Minamoto Kitchoan, and Daiso are bigger in Manhattan. Their product selection isnt as interesting as it used to be, they just stock what they can sell to a wider audience. They have a lot of weird sale restrictions on Sundays because of the NJ Blue laws, like you cant buy cookware, dishes, or utensils. Wegmans has them beat on fresh fish from Japan. Their regional events have shrunk a lot. The only draw for Mitsuwa is their Shochu selection. Also they got rid of the shuttle bus, and you have to take NJ Transit, and the return bus is always late and comes like once an hour.
