replying to u/sholeyheeit: Last time I went to Taste Good, their sambal was sweeter than it was spicy. Absolutely haram, but that was 11 years ago, so maybe it got better. What stands out there nowadays? I've done Coco and it does the job.

I'd suggest these places: - Hello Bangladesh (imo it's more authentic and better than Boishakhi from across the street which is more TikTok famous; try the Roast Polao & Kala Bhuna), - Puran Dhaka (Haji Biryani, Haleem, and most importantly Beauty Lassi are must try), - STAR FUSKA (Fuchka, Doi Fuchka, and Milk Tea are the best in the States) Besides those, some of my go-to never-disappointed joints are: - Momo Crave (they do both authentic and some funky momos; Chilli Momo & Sukuti Momo ALWAYS hits!) - Sumatera (top notch Indonesian spot!) - Merguez & Frites (awesome Algerian style sandwiches) - Al Sham Bakery (crazy good Kunefe; get half-n-half crispy & soft Kunefe) - Souk Al Shater (amazing Lebanese foods and unbelievably cheap)
