“the menu is way more elevated than the other places in the area. Some deep-cut dishes that aren't found as commonly in the States. I haven't tried all of them, but on that alone, I'd rank it pretty high.”

replying to u/CabassoG: Really good Isan style- Zabb PuTawn (1st Ave off 82nd.) Would also recommend Somtum Der as noted by another. A bit louder and a bit pricier but excellent Thai primarily for seafood- Chalong (9th Ave off 51st)

replying to u/stiff_joints: My more memorable drunken noodles have been Mitr Thai, Chalong, and actually Krob Kreung Krob Ros. Mitr and Chalong were actually pretty similar, good balance of flavors and good spice levels. Krob is relatively new and one of the few places I’ve seen put whole pepper corns in their pad kee mao. Theirs was also slightly sweeter but very umami

replying to u/shwimboshwambo: Zabb Putawn, they have locations in Brooklyn (Cobble Hill) and UES. Best papaya salad ive come across since living in nyc. Perfectly balanced and actually spicy if thats your preference! They have a version where they add salted duck eggs….. absolutely DELICIOUS
