replying to u/Puppykerry: What are you talking about? It’s not a brioche bun it’s a martins bun with poppy seeds. They use pickles form the pickle guys in LES. Stop nitpicking.

replying to u/eurtoast: I'm not from Chicago, but my nearest standalone hot dog spot that isn't in prospect park (LOVE that stand in the park next to the bike path closest to the 9th street entrance) is Dog Day Afternoon. I gotta give credit to the Vienna sausage. It's got a crazy snap to it and great flavor. The Chicago style toppings are not an everyday thing, I prefer the sauerkraut/onion but sometimes a salad, pickled pepper, blazing yellow mustard, and nuclear green relish on a poppyseed roll hits.
