replying to u/singfrabsolution: I sort of get what you’re saying. When you hear so much hype no place can ever live up to it. But it was a lot of fun especially as someone being from NYC. I stopped doing as much research on restaurants recently and my experiences have gotten much better tbh. Same with movies and experiences in general, I think there’s too much polished and edited material on social media that makes real life disappointing in comparison.

replying to u/NYEDMD: Super upscale: Jean Georges. They actually open for dinner at 4:30 PM, so you have enough time. Figure a ten-minute walk — max — to Lincoln Center. Nougatine, the "sister" restaurant would also be a good choice.
