replying to u/prunedoggy: We did a burger tour of west village; Fairfax was the winner. I think it’s the same-ish burger as bar sardine which was there before. Happiest hour finished a lot higher than we expected it to. Separately the Gotham smash burger pop-up was probably the best burger I’ve had in nyc but can’t speak to the permanent location.

replying to u/Superb_Practice_2257: L’Artusi’s bar is massive and if you get there when they open, you can grab a seat for max 2 people at the bar fairly easily. I Sodi is the same situation if you get there early. Back up plans galore in the area if you’re not married to a cuisine or timeframe. L’Accolade, Bar Pisellino, Angel’s Share, LB, Employees Only, or Katana Kitten are all nearby to grab a drink while you wait.
