Denino'sCHAIN

8.7/10Italian

AI-generated summary

Sit down place, whole pies only, no slices. People call it the classic , thin and crispy with the right balance of sauce and cheese. Get the clam . The Staten Island original is the one regulars grew up on, and the Manhattan location gets the same praise. Several people call it underrated.

Denino's in Greenwich Village is excellent. Sit down place, no slices, but it's got that perfect blend of sauce, crust and cheese that I think of when I think of NYC pizza.

  • replying to u/TrollyDodger55: John's is great. But Denino's is a 5 minute walk away is fantastic and you won't have a wait. Denino's is pie only and is a great, great representation of the classic NYC pizza. They're a legendary Staten Island place that now has place in Greenwich Village. John's is a coal oven pizza. Coal oven pizza is pretty fabulous because it cooks at 900 degrees. Luzzos used to be my favorite coal oven. Pizza in the East Village, but I think they are gone now.
