Gai Kitchen

AI-generated summary

Get the roasted chicken over ginger rice. It runs about $10.50 cash with a smaller size around $6.50, and it comes with a people say is not an afterthought. The sauces are the split, some find them too spicy and a few just don't like them. Make sure it's the Chinatown one, not the similarly named place in FiDi.

The Lunch Special (10am to 3pm) is $8 and comes with a soda. Most takeout places put your rice and general tso into one container. CHF gives you a entire container jammed packed with your protein and have your rice in a separate pint container so it's double the portion compared to my local Chinese takeout spots. There's never enough rice compared to the amount of protein that they give you, so I end up making extra rice at home with the leftovers for a 2nd meal. Amazingly they're also on Seamless/UberEats for the exact same prices as going in-person and that includes their lunch specials. Pair it up with one of those 40-60% off UberEats coupon, get like 4 lunches to maximize the coupon/delivery fees and it's a good ass deal. [Gongfu Xiao Long Bao](https://maps.app.goo.gl/rA8x9RkuhsYeBYpY6) is a Fujianese quick eats spot. They have cheap Fujianese soup dumplings, which is VERY different than Shanghainese soup dumplings. $5 for 10 is a great deal and you'll be passing out if you ate 20 of them lol. [Luigi's Pizza](https://maps.app.goo.gl/X7oQHsanq9N445Xg6) is the cheapest slice you can get for a pizza spot that gets listed in top 10 list pretty often. $2.75/slice so $8.25 for 3 slices. [Mike's Donut ](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ru14uqQgFaYDjPvd7)in Bay Ridge has cheap donuts. It's one of the few old school donut shops left in NYC. You can probably g…
