Can make an argument for “anywhere you get them fresh.” So far contenders are: Manna One (Catherine St) Double crispy bakery Harper’s Bread House - I stopped by here in the AM and got a fresh batch, loved the jamminess of the filling and the flaky warm exterior! Also, in Flushing, now that New Flushing Bakery has shut its doors 😭

replying to u/donut_butt: Tao Hong is great, but I suspect the secret is out: I went this Saturday afternoon, but they were completely sold out of egg tarts. Luckily Double Crispy is around the corner!
