  • 4 courses took almost 4 hours, our server gave a 10 minute monologue about the menu, didn’t course dishes the way we asked, waited 20-30 minutes between dishes and they charged extra for chips without telling us and hid it on the receipt

I’ll never be back and I have no idea why anyone would pay these prices for good but not spectacular food.

Angie was nice enough to make us one. It was delicious, although at $62, maybe not that delicious.

  • replying to u/BLOTTO81: Le B should have one right now.

There was no balance to anything texturally. Every bite was totally homogenous with the next. And it was like she’d never heard of acidity. Or spices. Or anything to really make a dish pop.

  • The food was good. Probably the best (yet crazy overpriced) soup I’ve ever had in my life. But some dishes didn’t amount to anything other than being rich and heavy.

  • It's basically a dry aged ribeye ground up with short rip covered in this fantastic cheese cooked to perfection with shoe string duck fat fries at a sexy bar near other cool places. It's got it all

The most bizarre meal of my life was at Le B. 6 people. 4 courses. Somehow lost 5.5 hours of my life. Absurd

  • replying to u/illegalcitizen_CA: $62 for a f\*\*\*\*\* burger what!

imo it's good but not even close to being worth the price. The owner's attitude and the restaurant's poor service also didn't help

  • replying to u/jaynyc1122: I preferred this burger over Au Cheval but I definitely agree it’s not worth it. Would much rather have the black label burger from Minetta for almost half the price. Also on a side note, I hate shoestring fries in general.

Yes Le B > Au Cheval but not worth the price.

  • replying to u/GeneNo2677: Le B is very good and a la carte. Very, very expensive. Don’t listen to the reviews on Google. The food is outstanding.

The food is fantastic, but it’s also just easy place to just chat with your dining mates without shouting over loud music or crowd noise.

  • replying to u/nycago: Le B is amazing all be in very pricey.

This is the closest to The Spotted Pig burger. It’s great! But yes. Pricey as fuck.

  • the wines were amazing and the sommelier was super friendly and poured all kinds of special stuff for us

  • replying to u/jotpeat: Wow the reviews on Google Maps are horrible. It’s rare to see such a contrast between really good and really really bad

their burger is good but def nowhere good enough to justify the price.

  • replying to u/SquanchyMelo: Beatrice Inn was a top five burger on my list, but i can't add permanantly closed locations to google maps. This is going to be a must try.

It was just so soft and foam like. It felt overground to me. So I’m taking a break. It’s delicious for a fancy burger though. Just want more texture.

  • replying to u/SquanchyMelo: Need to try list: Le B Portrait Bar The Lions 20 Gram Cafe Burger by Day

The burger was fantastic and reminded me of The Spotted Pig's burger (RIP).

  • The burger at Le B is also one to try (and requires an early 5:30/6pm bar booking)

Personally I don’t love Le B. Flavor is excellent but I don’t love the texture of the patty. I also hate that they try and upsell you on wine and truffle add ons every damn time.

  • replying to u/k-a-ro: Le B only available at the bar. It's the same one the chef did at the Beatrice Inn

a mediocre lukewarm cream cheese burger and receive pretentious asshole service where the staff thinks they are better than their diners.

  • replying to u/bkerkove8: Probably Le B.

Always felt Angie Mar was a fraud - no real talent, resting on "style" and behind "couture," serving insanely overpriced simple steaks with weird aging while somehow hanging out with legitimate chefs. Not a fan.

  • Pisses me off because it „time-Walls“ some of the best burgers in the city - artificially produced scarcity as culinary marketing gimmick is just whack. Raouls, lords, Le B…

  • replying to u/sverse24: Le B (Angie Mars place not Le Bernadin). 4 courses took almost 4 hours, our server gave a 10 minute monologue about the menu, didn’t course dishes the way we asked, waited 20-30 minutes between dishes and they charged extra for chips without telling us and hid it on the receipt (only discovered this after the fact when we realized the itemized total and total on the bill didn’t match). On top of that the restaurant wouldn’t give us a straight answer why the bill didn’t match and kept changing their story.

This place is awful, she’s a nutcase.
