replying to u/O2C: I can no longer find the bialies I ate as a kid. They had more onion in the dent and were chewier. Kossar's (before and after they changed ownership) are a little different . My neighborhood bagel places have since changed hands too. I still try bialies from new spots when I can but I doubt I'll have any luck.

replying to u/daffodilsandtea: Okay I will preface this by saying that Tal Bagels is expensive and some people think it’s overrated. I love it, and it opens at 7:00 AM. Usually I will just get the bagel and buy the lox somewhere else to offset the cost, but you probably want an assembled sandwich. Check the prices before you buy though because really, they are ridiculous. And the fresh orange juice is awesome if you’re willing to take out a loan.
