  • Will never forget the time I took a bite and my mouth was stabbed by a piece of wire from a grill brush. Their solution to the issue was to offer me a glass of wine...

  • replying to u/revengeofthebiscuit: Carmine’s is definitely for a large group. My suggestion is to walk a few streets over and find a place in Hell’s Kitchen rather than TSQ. Mom’s Kitchen and Bar is great for families and has things he’ll eat!

Meatball shop is a cozy and casual choice.

  • replying to u/applesandcherry: Meant to add more, but accidently hit post. Anyway, I'm not surprised they shut down. I went a few years ago to show someone one of my old go-tos and I thought the portions and quality for the price were pretty meh. It always sucks when these places that have been around for years close down.

Sadly agree and have been waiting on this day since I last ate there - maybe 6 months ago - with one small mediocre tasting pasta portion costing $30

  • replying to u/114631: I had been craving them (pregnancy) for a few months now after not having had them for *years*. I was dreaming of their pork meatballs with mozz and pesto on a sandwich. Nearly got it to go a couple weeks ago, then went to check last week and saw permanently closed 🙁

This recipe nails the flavor of the pork meatballs

  • Everything But The Kitchen Sink was one of the best chain food dishes you could order, period. They were incredible. We went back a year ago for just that (plus a fried egg of course).

  • replying to u/MarketMan123: Meatball Shop. Just couldn’t keep quality up. They are down to their final location in Hell’s Kitchen. Wife and I wanna go just to say farewell to a place we had many good memories at 8 or so years ago.

I genuinely feel like the food borders on inedible these last few years. And I’ve given them so many tries because I’ve been in denial on how it could be so bad now, but consistently it is terrible every single time now.

  • replying to u/Dangerous-Regular-56: Meatball shop is a cozy and casual choice. Moms Kitchen definitely has more of a bar feel to it but is convenient. Juniors is fine, just overpriced for the food they serve.

Nothing wrong with it, there are just better options for the price range.
