[Patisserie Fouet](https://maps.app.goo.gl/TPQm3y4LYgNG3sHN9) is one of my favorite dessert spots and is definitely a must visit. They're a Japanese-French bakery. They also have a 3 course pre-fixe dessert option. [Patisserie Tomoko](https://maps.app.goo.gl/MrQqr9ULX4pcw5s9A) is also a terrific Japanese-French Bakery in Brooklyn. [Brooklyn Kura](https://maps.app.goo.gl/TPmmJUtNvzxXULSw7) is a Sake Brewery that brews in Brooklyn. They have a taproom and they recently started offering tours during the weekends. There's a "Japan Village" in the building next door but the food will be VERY underwhelming considering you're from Japan lol. I would recommend getting some tacos from the [Tacos el Bronco](https://maps.app.goo.gl/EUGdk7GJUBfULT9T9) a few blocks away instead. Not quite "fusion" but [Katana Kitten](https://maps.app.goo.gl/8uQK7MsBzPS1kQHWA) is a Japanese cocktail bar that's ranked [27th in the world according to some list](https://www.theworlds50best.com/bars/the-list/katana-kitten.html). Might be worth visiting but I thought it was super meh when I visited but I'm not a cocktail expert lol. --- Not a Japanese bar but Double Chicken Please is a cocktail bar that's ranked #2 on the same list. replying to u/AvocadoBeefToast: It’s a bar that gets slammed every night…it is loud. If you’re looking for an intimate bar that caters to one on one conversations, this is not the spot. Is it possible? Yea of course. But it’s definitely meant for a more energetic group hang. If you want a quiet bar, the orient express a couple of blocks away is perfect for that (but no food sadly).

replying to u/m_jl_c: Justine’s on Hudson is absolutely killing it. They’re new. Menu changes pretty much daily and the chef is really talented. Everything that comes out is really fantastic. Some OG New York standards plus some great places: - Raoul’s for the steak au poivre. It’s got some history to it too. - Blue Ribbon Brasserie - 4 Charles Prime Rib - don’t let the prime rib name fool you. This is the team that did Au Cheval in Chicago. Best burger I’ve ever had in my life, hands down. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while that actually lived up to the hype. - Locanda Verde - Katana Kitten… cocktails are better than at EO… vibes more low key too. - L’Artusi - it’s a WV standard - I Sodi - might have replaced L’Artusi as the WV Italian go to. - Nat’s on Bank - love this place

replying to u/thansal: That's a wonderfully eclectic list, and I'll be honest, Paris Baguette is actually one of my favorite "I'm out of groceries at home" breakfasts on the way to work, so not a bad choice, just an odd one. Also, bonus points for getting onions in sauce for your hotdog, I still find it so weird that it's a NYC (mainly) condiment. Thoughts? Things that really stood out to you? Favorite bite/drink? Katana Kitten is great, though half of that is stellar staff I think.

replying to u/laughingwalls: If you want something that makes amazing cocktails in the 15-20$ price point, go to lullaby in Lower East Side. They are one of those places that are well known among cocktail circles that influencers don't know about yet. Your hotel is in midtown, which is one of the most expensive places in the city, because its a commercial area and most bars there are over priced. I will say that 19-21$ is the going price for cocktails in New York city right now, however I will also say that the the best cocktail bars in the city (arguably the world) charge at that price point. So if you are going to go for cocktails go to those places for special occasion drinks: Attaboy, Katana Kitten, Super Bueno, Double Chicken, Dead Rabbit, Bar Moga, NR, Death and Co, Dante etc.
