replying to u/JayMoots: I don’t think we have a direct equivalent. Dean and Deluca was probably closest, but that was just a single location, and it’s closed now anyway. Union Market is a growing chain that’s pretty upscale and has a popular prepared foods selection, but not to the extent that Erewhon does. Citarella might be another contender. I’ve heard them referred to as “the Erewhon of the Hamptons”. But I don’t think their locations in the city are quite as popular. And none of these places have the social media clout of Erewhon. That’s pretty unique to them.
