  • I prefer King Dumplings for frozen dumplings since their's is thicker-skinned and boils without ripping apart, although there is a longer boiling time to get it cooked all the way through.

  • replying to u/Total_While8763: i went to king dumplings for the first time recently and the tables were absolutely disgusting, the ATM took $100 from my account and didn’t dispense any cash, all the condiments were in these fossilized sriracha bottles, they ran out of napkins. and it was actually so good i need to go back

but the dumplings are so good.

  • King Dumplings and North Dumpling are fantastic. You can get stuffed on great dumplings for $5 -$10.

Food is great though. Their peanut noodles aren't as good as Shu Jiao Fu Zhou, but for $3 it's a fuck ton of peanut noodles that are still pretty damn good.

  • replying to u/joe_bibidi: King Dumplings is definitely a place where you should grab and go, IMO. Even if you just cross the street there's a bunch of public tables and chairs in the median on Allen which are visibly cleaner despite being outside. I guess they at least get rained on. the panfried dumplings at Shu Jiao Fu Zhou are noticeably better than King Dumplings

  • I liked all but if I were to only choose 3, it will be the Portuguese Egg Tart from Double Crispy, Chive and Pork from King Dumplings

King Dumpling is also greasy and juicy with good flavor, similar to North Dumpling.

Best frozen dumplings in the city in my opinion

  • I think King Dumpling in Chinatown does a great pan fired traditional dumpling. A little light on the filling but that’s to be expected for the price.

  • replying to u/why_squ1rtle: U seem somewhat informed on dumplings. Do you kno where I can find the pan fried tube dumplings. My usual places changed their style and shape over the last couple years ie mosco st dumpling and tasty dumpling. I have a suspicion that one dumpling arm owns many dumpling shops now. North Star has the same variant. I just want the one that looks like a grub from lion king. That’s my preferred

My favorite was Prosperity, now called King Dumpling. Always quality and cooked by the boss himself everyday
