replying to u/Final_Tie_531: I've been to all the expensive, fancy's hard to get in places in the city, just had dinner at Forsythia last week, it was good but not amazing, and very expensive, I probably won't go back. I feel the same about Don Angie, Via Carota, Pistoia, L'Artusi, they're all very good but kinda forgettable. Il Posto Accanto is the best Italian in the city, family owned, they have made lasagna every Sunday since 1997, always changing menu based on availability of fresh ingredients, lovely owners and staff, great wines. Call to make a reservation, they're not online. It's a real NYC restaurant and they will make it extra special if you tell Julio what you have planned for your special occasion. They're not social media fancy, they're not a hype location tag if that's important to you, but they put all the others to shame on food and hospitality.

“Love this place. Went last Friday, going again this Friday with a different group of friends. You should order from the specials every time, if you are so moved. Bea shops at the local markets and crafts her menus for us “petunias.” Wonderful dishes.”

replying to u/Snoo-18544: For me I repeat spots in my neighborhood. If it's something I go out of my way for a splurge meal , then I don't want to repeat. My repeats are the numerous places in Les and EV you can spend 35$ for a pretty good dinner or 20ish for a luxury ch. Looking at you BBF, Little Myanmar, Raku, Obiburo house of tsukemen, ramen ishida, izakaya juraku, toriya, cafe mogorador, yuca, three times for your BOGO Xiao long BAO you always have on Uber eats. All those places in china town in walking distance. Oh and trappazino. Also scarrs, Johnny's, 7TH STREET, Saigon social and Casa 13urger oh can't forget mughlai. Also halal cart on delancey/Essex the one that's not across from McDonald's. Popeyes and McDonald's once and a while.
