replying to u/t1mewast3r: How about Hutong? Very upscale Chinese, gorgeous art deco decor. They have a tasting menu, a pre fixe menu, an ala carte menu, and many a fancy cocktail. I’ve only gone for drinks, though, so I can’t vouch for taste, I can for vibe. I also went to a work dinner at Nobu that blew me away, if you think they’d like Japanese. It was in the mall near the Vessel so you can do some sightseeing after.

replying to u/PopcornKiki: I haven't tried any of these, but these are what I bookmarked: August Gatherings (Cantonese), Yingtao, Hutong, and Chef Guo (saw it just now and looks interesting). I did try Decoy and organized small team holiday dinner there, everyone loved it (if it matters, we are all Asians from different ethnicities). Looks like Decoy (Hudson at) is closed now.

[Hutong](https://www.hutong-nyc.com) Just tried this over the weekend as they had an email special promo. For $68pp+t/t, you get unlimited refills of 6 of their dim sum, an entree, side, and dessert. For an extra $30pp you can get unlimited refills of the Peking duck. There are also free flow drink packages. Of the dim sum, our favorites were the vegetarian spring rolls, the prawn rolls, and the mushroom bao. They brought out this whole plate of duck (this was for 2 people), again when we asked for more, and kept asking if we wanted more. The duck is pretty fatty and the skin very thin, but still crispy and delicious. Honestly, the entrees and sides were ok, but if I were to go back I'd just target the dim sum and the duck. I thought this was a pretty good deal considering the caliber of food and environment and their normal prices.
