replying to u/WredditSmark: Short story long: there was a period in my life where I was heartbroken, hated my job, and overall unhappy with life, so I quit and started working for Postmates, Door Dash, and several other delivery apps, on an old bicycle I found in my building. This was before covid and the app explosion it was still kind of new. I rode around the entire city for about a year, just listening to music and sort of clearing my mind. I was living in Jersey at the time and always had to make my way back to port authority / Hells Kitchen area. What better deal for a broke and broken bike courrier then a pitcher of beer and 2 hot dogs for under $10? Used to get that almost every shift, sometimes finishing the pitcher myself sometimes making friends and sharing but that bar really held me down. You could walk in a stinking sweaty shell of a person and walk out feeling more then halfway decent, a full belly and a nice buzz.

replying to u/Macsimus15: Does it have to be good? Or just iconic? Good/iconic wo hop in china town. Just iconic. The free hot dog you get with your cheap 5$ beer at Rudy’s. Drinking and eating it on a booth that’s held together by duct tape adds to the experience.
