replying to u/Tzinkraze: That area is unfortunately very pricey because it caters to business accounts (lots of banks and finance firms) and tourists. There’s one very reasonable omakase spot called Shogun Omakase close to Bryant Park. I wouldn’t call it fancy but it is serviceable for the price point. Avra is a very scene-y/trendy Greek restaurant by Rockefeller Center and has really good lunch prix fixes, dinner can be expensive. Good luck and enjoy your trip!
