Sushi on MeCHAIN

6.1/10Japanese

AI-generated summary

It's a party, not a quiet . About $99 for 15 courses with unlimited sake and a loud room. People split hard on the food. Some say the is creative with Thai touches, others say it's mid and you're paying for the vibe. Regulars say the Jackson Heights room beats Williamsburg. Not the place for a first .

  • The most entertaining omakase experience I’ve had in NYC. The chefs are fun and entertaining, the sushi is eclectic with Thai influences and you will want to take your friends over and over after

It was rowdy and they do a lot of sake with their courses. Plus a weed smoke infused dish that was super fun to breathe and eat.

I went to the Jackson Heights one and I felt like they were trying too hard to make it like a party and it fell flat and awkward for me. They also prepared a lot of the dishes in advance so it didn't feel like a true omakase experience.
