replying to u/thansal: Rowdy Rooster - Indian inflected Nashville style hot chicken. Fucking delicious, super juicy (only dark meat at the EV location), and they will blow you out of the water if you ask (5 is a mistake, do 3 if you like spice, 4 if you really like spice, 5 is "I self harm via capsaicin"). The spice levels are also different spice blends, so they taste noticeably different, 5 is really delicious (super earthy), but just don't fucking do it. Bolivian Llama Party - I dono man, it's just really fucking good fried chicken on a sandwich. I still always get the brisket though...

replying to u/joe_bibidi: I'll throw in a few. **All'antico Vinaio** was crazy huge online for a minute. I'd say it's mostly worth it, provided you order mindfully. Lean into the cured meats, don't just order turkey or roast beef, or caprese or something you can make yourself. **Bolivian Llama Party** constantly hits those "Best foods you gotta get in Queens" lists and rightfully so, it's actually outstanding. **Yi Ji Shi Mo** in Chinatown for the #1 special rice noodle is pretty much a perfect bite of food, IMO. Sucks that it's so hard to get now that they went viral but good for them, they deserve it. **Shu Jiao Fu Zhou** is another like that, love their peanut noodles and it's maybe the best value plate in the city. Sucks that the line is out the door but if you catch it on off hours it's a great plate of food for like $4. **Rubirosa** tie-dye pie is excellent. It's not my favorite pizza in the city or anything but it's rightfully carved out a special spot with a unique voice. **Win Son Bakery**, I feel like the chief viral dish is the mochi donut which is indeed very good, though I feel like almost everything on the menu is better so it really deserves more than just virality for that. **Salty Lunch Lady's Little Luncheonette** is as good as the hype indicates, I've only had the one dill sandwich but I'd love to go back. If they were in Manhattan it would be a "line around the block" viral sensation, I have no doubt, rather than just "regularly busy" viral.

We gave them a call a couple weeks ago and they said it's a supplier issue (but they were expecting it in within a week back then). If you're not vegetarian/vegan, their fried chicken is shockingly good and I love their brisket (though that's also listed as out of stock atm!).
