replying to u/Ill_Assignment4369: Raouls. Throwback to 80s buzzy brasserie. It's always jumping. Food is very good. And it's one of the few from that era that still has great food. Thai Diner : cool couple with Michelin chops left per se to cook Thai food. Their first spot was legendary, Thai diner, while less "fun" of a room has great food. Gramercy Tavern. Iconic for a reason. Still fucks. Foods a little bland for me, but the menu slaps and it was a starting point for the farm to table new American thing, as well as countless esteemed chefs. Golden Unicorn. The last of the old school dim sum places in Manhattan. It's a zoo. It's always fun. And the dim sum is very good. The best is now found in flushing, but this is def a fun, very ny experience. (RIP to the original Jing fong) Katz's the people come from all over. The food is good and uts such a fun ny room. Sandwiches are comically too big, the hot dog is the unsung hero. Balthazar: such a shit show. But it's ours. And it's always a fun time. Keith McNally legit made downtown restaurants the thing from the second this place opened ... So many more.

replying to u/justflipping: Yea the pineapple version is supposed to be sweet because of the sugar crust on top. The OG is much less sweet without it. Mei Lai Wah’s has a higher fat content nowadays, which personally I still like but is not for everyone. With these super hyped places, not everyone will fit the common opinion. And that’s okay. For less fat ratio, you may like Ho Won Bake Shoppe, Tao Hong, and Golden Steamer.

replying to u/Resident-Ad7620: I don't know about now but traditionally pushcart dimsum service ended at around 3 pm . A lot of the popular items would probably have run out by then plus your probably eating items that have been sitting there a lot. Just go to some place that does all day by request like dim sum go go.
