One of the last Chinatown spots still doing , and people go for the chaos as much as the food. Get the red rice roll, it wraps a stuffed cruller and regulars call it the best dish in the city. Don't come after the lunch rush, you get the leftover carts.

↳replying to u/Banan1232: Dim sum Go Go is my go-to especially if you are around chinatown. Right near golden unicorn. I've been going there since i could barely speak and while the prices have sadly increased a bit (from dirt cheap to regular), the quality has stayed the exact same. The 6 year old should love it as its not a very formal environment and they were great with kids (at least when I was a kid). PSA, they have this small dish with shredded pork and it is amazing. the last couple times I've went they did not put it on the table by default but brought it out when asked.
“We’ll go again soon, we went to House of Joy which was wonderful chaos, got seated in about 2 minutes and had a great time, I ate way way too much. Crystal shrimp dumplings and the baked pork buns were highlights, I also liked the stuffed hot pepper (mix of shrimp
And pork) and those taro sesame seed sweet things.”
“House of Joy for me is the best. They have this red rice roll that covers a shrimp stuffed crueler that is the best dim sum dish in nyc. but all of their food is really good”
