replying to u/LakeTittyKakah: If you find yourself in Queens utopia bagel is imo a notch above Apollo bagel. Sometimes little line sometimes fast moving long lines…. That doesn’t mean Apollo isn’t good but I’m not about to wait 45 minutes for bread and cheese like a medieval peasant Joes pizza is the standard, there are a lot of pizzerias that are definitely better. There’s a lot that claim to be better but are worse but it’s fairly priced standard tasting New York slice. They keep it simple and consistent. My personal favorite is Patsys on 1st Ave and 118, coal fire oven from the 1930s, $16 for a whole pie where mediocre spots charge you $25+.

Omakase and bring your own booze at tanoshi with friends. Bagels at utopia. Dinner with a big group (and again, byob) at Wu's wonton king. Chee cheong fun (rice noodles) at Yi Ji Shi Mo. Big tray chicken at spicy village. Cocktails at attaboy. Mezcal at the cabinet. Oysters and drinks at Maison premier. Malaysian at taste good. All the chopped cheeses.
