replying to u/Chevron_Hubbard: Corn Husk Meringue at Cosme is worth the visit alone. I was hesitant going in, and I don't think there's a better dessert in NYC. Durian Banana Ice Cream at Morgenstern's is an outlier for western palates, but I love it. Ice Chendol at Sumatera in Elmhurst is a classic Indonesian dessert drink, but it's a flavor combo (Pandan/Gula Melaka) and texture combo that most may not have had Strawberry Yummy at KJUN used fermented strawberries and cornbread, and is fantastic cap to an also-amazing meal there. Avocado dessert at Empellon in Midtown isn't bizarre flavorwise, but the presentation is novel and the it tastes fantastic. The corn ice cream taco is also everything a Choco Taco dreams of being when it grows up.
