“Hani's gets recommended a lot, they have a unique take with a malty cream cheese frosting but I prefer something a bit more ooey gooey (theirs isn't bready per se but just doesn't have a ton of filling).”
“The triple chocolate chunk cookie was best-in-class. Probably the chewiest and one of the most flavorful cookies I have ever eaten.”
“And for $13.50 is seems like a steal compared to bagel shops charging $18 for a salmon bagel nowadays. The salmon quality is also top notch and had a super fresh almost buttery taste.”
“TBH, got it the first or second day and thought it was mid.”
“Quality products but I feel like a lot of flavors are way too subtle and prices are very high even for NY.”
“Hani's is way too sweet. I've tried 2 types of cake, a brownie, a cookie, and the hot chocolate, and I couldn't finish any of them.”
“I actually didn't enjoy hani's at all and now I'm wondering if I just did something wrong... The roll was cold instead of soft & pillowy, and the icing was overly sweet.”
“it was outstanding (very small portion like served in a macchiato or cortado cup, but very rich and was topped with an eggnog whipped cream).”
“The first time the cinnamon roll was incredible. The second time way too much icing and not as tender. Maybe there’s a QC issue there. In general I like the place”
“The texture of the cakes were most disappointing to me but even then, the taste wasn’t wowing either.”
“Hani’s is also a great thin cookie but had way too much going on for me (heavy toffee notes and 3 different kinds of chocolate).”
“Definitely lots of hits with Hani's! The carrot cake was good but really much too sweet for my taste given how much frosting there is to cake though I loved how the brown butter came through in it.”
“hmm tried theirs a few times now and it's always been super dense and heavy like a brick. a few times all the cinnamon filling was all clumped at the bottom and nothing between the layers. not a fan”
“I had the carrot cake from Hani's yesterday for the first time - what a sophisticated version of a carrot cake!!! Every element, from the frosting with added depth from the brown butter, to the lighter cream cheese mousse within the layers, and of course, the pineapple ginger jam, just elevated teh whole thing. It was still "safe" and familiar for those who aren't adventurous, but, wow, what an elevated carrot cake!”
“I don’t like Hani’s. I found their cinnamon roll icing gloppy. Trying to be both set icing and cream cheese frosting and it didn’t work”
“The chocolate chip cookie was 👌. Cinnamon roll was really good heated up next day”
“the cake was so DENSE which was made worse with heavy peanut butter. It was nauseating.”
“The PB cake was terrible. Had to throw away. Cake was so dense and dry and the frosting didn’t work with it”
“I liked Hani's, and find all of their items to be of fairly high quality, but do have some nitpicks here and there.”
“I just tried the Rice Krispie yesterday and was really disappointed :( I was like… that’s it? All that hype and it honestly tastes like a regular Rice Krispie with a few pistachios and smudge of halva.”
“Everything else has been a bit hit or miss, but I still enjoy going to try different things.”
“This was number 1 for two of us, so a clear winner. Dense and fudgy, and the salt content is what really puts it ahead imo.”
“I love the flavors of the baked goods here. The shakshuka Danish was so unique and delicious. The pistachio halva rice krispie treat is really good too.”
“that chocolate chip cookie introduced me to god. i can’t explain how delicious it was. the malted cinnamon roll?? GENIUS! huge let down was the pb&j cake- it was quite dry.”
“Rose and hibiscus morning bun from Hani's”
“Unfortunately, I would actively discourage people from getting the banana pudding, strawberry passion fruit croissant, and lime cheesecake due to them simply not being great.”
“Winner for my favourite sweet item of the trip.”
“Black Sesame Chocolate Stout Cake from Hanis bakery”
“Hani’s - chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon roll, and peanut butter cake”
“Hani's honey cake is insane.”
“I have a major sweet tooth and Hani’s and Tall Poppy both hit for me”
“I personally love Hani’s but a lot of people find their stuff too sweet, that being said I’d recommend the pistachio halva rice crispy treat and, if you’re strategizing stomach space, get a cake slice instead of a cinnamon roll.”
“No I went this weekend and had low expectations and it was way better than I thought, I loved the cinnamon roll lol”
“went to hanis super excited as everyone raves about it, and was pretty disappointed.”
“I also had an excellent piece at Hani's recently.”
“Hani’s pistachio, tahini, halva, and brown butter rice crispy treat”
“The 5 best I’ve had: Lloyds Hanis brown butter carrot cake”
“Highly recommend the rice crispie and the chocolate cake. I think the chocolate cake is my personal fave in the city.”
“Walked around the block to Hani's next for a cinnamon roll. It was solid, but the amount of frosting was a bit much. Felt overhyped.”
“Both are worthy of praise. Ultimately Radio is my #1 if I had to choose. Radio’s cinnamon roll > Hani’s. Hani’s chocolate chip cookie > Radio’s.”
“I love strawberries. Obsessed with the seasonal strawberry tart at Hani's now.”
“Latte tasted like hot milk, and the carrot cake was… fine. Nothing I’d write home about. 3/5”
“the seasonal strawberry pastry at Hani's”
“Hani’s chocolate cake is also out of this world good”
“This was my favourite sweet item of the trip.”
“Hani’s honey cake isn’t that amazing, not enough burnt honey flavor. Other things are way better there.”
“I was having a love affair with that seasonal tart!”
“Both are great. Radio's seeded sourdough is my favorite bread of all time, tastes just as fresh the second day as the first. Pastries are maybe a bit less sweet than Hani's?”
