  • Dry pot may be my favorite dish this trip. Every vegetable was given the proper attention & cook. Savory spicy aggressive but not heavy handed. Vegan but the dish was not missing anything

  • replying to u/ATranimal: I've seen this sentiment a lot but I found spicy moon to be really bland and overpriced? Curious what the people enjoying it actually found good about it. re: the question though I haven't come across any specifically korean style vegan fried chicken here. the best vegan fried chicken asian style item ive had is the fried shroom sandwich at baby's buns & buckets in the dekalb market. I feel like vegan frozen yogurt should be pretty widely spread, I think even 18 handles or any of the chains has at least a couple vegan options. I am super not a fan of my experience with Plantega, but they are partnered with a number of delis around the city if you want to just get the deli breakfast sandwich experience

we LOVE spicy moon, the KungPo Veg/Tofu mix is amazing (crunchy and spicy with a good mix of deepfriend and regular veg) and the Beyond Beef Lo Mein is also in my opinion great.

  • Bowery was where I had one of the saltiest, least-well-rounded meals I've had. Can't remember what it was, but the bulk of the meal was dry (no sauce) fried chunks of tofu...

  • replying to u/dancetothiscomment: I’ve only had takeout spicy moon and IMO Han dynasty is better / vegan friendly Maybe some people can recommend the good spicy moon dishes here? Also checkout superiority burger and planta queen, my two fav vegan spots Superiority burger, the burgers are good but it’s everything else that’s amazing on their menu

But over time i am less into it. Very greasy and for very expensive for what it is (like some of the tofu dishes have two pieces of tofu in them …)

  • 7/10, I did not like the noodles at all but they were popular, everything else was pretty good. Drinks and service were great
