The golden diner pancakes are solid, but not amazing. Apollo in FiDi has zero wait. I enjoy that style of bagel and alternate with Liberty and Utopia when I'm looking for carbs. I love R&D for their smoked fish (Sable specifically) but their bagels are some of the worst in the city.

“Not OP but while I really enjoy the shrimp one, I find the scallion pancake sandwiches can be a bit greasy (especially the viral BEC one), so I'll generally share it alongside a fan tuan, which are small but delicious. Definitely worth a try, especially if there isn't a wait!”

replying to u/lampeter6: wanted to see what the hype was about. got BEC on a scallion pancake and was severely disappointed. it was greasy and unpleasant. sauce was good. havent tried much else but wont be back soon.
