Jeju Noodle Bar

Get the ssam bap. People call it one of the best bites in the city and some go just for that. The is where people split, and plenty say it's fine but not worth the price or the star. Order more appetizers than bowls. Service complaints come up a lot and reservations are hard.

  • dinner at jeju noodle bar: ordered the caviar fried chicken, wagyu ramyun, and soft serve dessert (not pictured) - soooo delicious. chicken was delightfully juicy and the tangy richness of the yogurt was so gas w the caviar.

  • Significantly underwhelmed by Jeju when i went. Didn’t think the Toro Ssam Bap was anything to write home about, got seated 20 minutes late for a reservation, and the table they sat us at was free the moment we got there (on time). Noodles themselves felt too similar to instant ramen (which i learned may be a stylistic choice) overall, go elsewhere

  • replying to u/Vaynes_Ass: The toro ssam bap was really good at Jeju Noodle Bar but I felt like the ramen there was nothing special. Mr Taka and Tonchin were much better imo

I recently had the gochu ramyun (will be on my next post) and I thought it was good as any other spicy tonkotsu ramen I’ve had. Although the pork belly was kinda tough. I actually preferred the mushroom ramyun over the pork.

  • Very salty, everything we order from the ribs to the lobsters ramen, to a point that I have to put the noodle into water to finish it. I don’t know why it still has star and still over hyped.

  • It was good but I don't know if it's really worth the money or if it's really a "Korean" take on ramyun. It just felt like an upscale version of neighborhood sushi restaurants where they serve sushi and ramen. I felt duped.
