  • Overall, I think this place does well to stay within their comfort zone in making fusion dishes that don’t lean into the gimmicky area. Every addition felt like it added something new and better, not just for show.

  • Multiple hairs in my plate at Nowon that I found when I was like halfway through my meal. Accusatory tone from the server when I said something about it and you’d think I was taking money out of her pocket when I didn’t want to pay for it.

  • This was a GREAT food experience. Had the 42.00 Mixed tape for 3 of us. IMO A LOT of food for the money. All courses we fantastic (the weak link was the Caesar salad although it was very good everything else was phenomenal).

  • Skip Nowon. My GF and I are Korean and we really dislike the spot. It's the worst version of Korean food that isn't meant for Koreans. Imbalanced, overly salty, and just looking to chase trends.

  • replying to u/FedishSwish: I wasn't personally a huge fan of Nowon's burger. I can't remember the specifics (so I guess it wasn't very memorable), but I think it was too rich/saucy and didn't have enough spicy/sour elements to counter that.

I get the dry-aged steak one... it's thicker and cooked a bit pink, ratios tend to be spot on for me for that one.

  • replying to u/space_demos: the food is so good but the service is so crap :( it took us like half an hour to flag someone down to order a second round of drinks, we ordered a soju flight each, took another 15 min to get them, and then the waiter told us they needed the table back in 20 min so we had to shoot 3 glasses of soju each lol. food was amazing tho!!

so I think besides that mishap the service was quite decent on my experience, albeit a bit slow between courses.

  • replying to u/Red__dead: Brindle Room, Hawksmoor, Raoul's, Cozy Royale, and Nowon are also great for this type of burger - medium rare naturally! I will always go for these over the smashburger style currently sweeping TikTok...
