“Overall, one of my top contenders for the best or even the best steakhouse in all of NYC. Definitely will be going back here. Easy 9.5/10”
“Their take on the Caesar is the best I’ve ever had. I’m a big fan of the classic Caesar with anchovies and everything, and this Caesar where individual leaves are dressed to perfection is a delight”
“I found the eye to be pretty lack luster and the ribeye was very fatty and greasy. Wasn't impressed by the baked Alaskan either”
“Delmonico’s is even more historic and has a posh space on a beautiful corner in the oldest part of the city. The food is very good with a focus on seafood, but this place is so old it is where so many “dishes with names” originated, so it has this larger-than-life but almost cartoonishly classic feel.”
“You gotta get the baked Alaska, it’s classic.”
“If you get the ribeye it’s still “value” vs menu price but I thought the meat was lower quality than usual. The salmon and appetizer portion seemed noticeably smaller than standard (fair enough given the cost). The salmon was lukewarm at best and not particularly flavorful.”
“My group ordered Delmonico cuts individually for 4 and 2 shared the porterhouse. All were seasoned and cooked perfectly.”
“I did not enjoy the Baked Alaska and is not worth the $10 upgrade even though they keep bragging that the Baked Alaska was invented at there lol.”
“Easily one of the best meals I had during RW:”
“Delmonico’s classic steak is 45 dry aged ribeye with an amazing crust. It’s white table cloth but definitely old school vibes. Went a couple months ago, highly recommend.”
“The service is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is terrific. I’ve been there for lunch, happy hour, and dinner and always enjoyed myself.”
“All of it was excellent!”
“The steak was excellent. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out *just* on the verge between medium rare and rare. Robust, rich taste, and evenly cooked.”
“However, recently they had a prix fixe ladies lunch for $50 which was awful. I went with half a dozen women and we all thought the steaks were so grizzly we couldn’t even finish our meals.”
“The price and quality has been outstanding for most things. I would pass on their sushi offerings, though. Tried a Japanese catered option last week and it was not great. Everything else has been tasty and presentation simply excellent.”
“Delmonico's was pretty good but I actually liked their strip steak more than their signature cut. Their ribeye wasn't great compared to other places I've been. Their NY strip was surprisingly tender and juicy though.”
“Hope you love it, everything we've had has been great and also unique.”
“The new version of it sucks. It's absolutely tiny, overpriced, isn't a whole lobster and doesn't come in the shell.”
“Very nice interior but I tried the Delmonico steak and a bit disappointing.”
“Service was good, but the black cod portion was small and the dish was mostly the cold cabbage side (I guess my bad for ordering something other than steak?), steak was tasty but also rather cold.”
“Really disappointing visit when I went a couple of months ago. Poor service sitting under a cold and drippy air vent that required us having to ask to be moved, only to be seated at the bar. The steak was underwhelming for the price point.”
“Went to Delmonicos a few weeks ago, food was decent but very rich and fatty, we were all uncomfortably bloated afterwards. Also the Delmonico cut was eh the aged ribeye was definitely the star.”
“Order the sides and dessert and bill was totaling 600. Nothing great and definitely felt like a tourist trap to me.”
“I enjoyed the service and food at Delmonicos. The Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye steak was really good, but I probably wouldn’t pay to add on the Sichuan peppercorn sauce again as it just seemed bland for my taste.”
“Delmonico's was even pricier, but I honestly preferred their sides to their signature Delmonico's steak somehow, despite it being the place that supposedly invented the NY strip (it was good, but I expected better given the hype and price point).”
“For steak I’d prefer Delmonico’s for a great all around experience: steaks Caesar sides drinks and service are all memorable.”
“Delmonico's is great. I frequently recommend them during restaurant week deal, where for 89$ you get 3 course meal including their signature steak.”
“The Baked Alaska at Delmonico’s, where it was invented. Sit at the bar and have dessert”
“The steak is good”
“Steak - delmonicos or if you’re going uptown keens or Hawksmoor”
“Delmonicos was terrific. Went two weeks ago. Get the signature Delmonico cut.”
“Delmonicos will feel fancier and your wife will enjoy it more. Steaks are marginally better too imo”
“foodwise the Delmonico ribeye is so good. IMO you’ll have a great meal at either one but pound for pound I think Delmonicos has the edge slightly”
“I went a few months ago and had the steak and really liked it”
“I agree; it’s one of my go-to places now for steak. I also love the way they do the Caesar salad, where each individual leaf is dressed.”
“Delmonicos for a great steak and iconic space”
“now you gotta come back for that baked alaska ~ sooo good, and sooo iconic”

“Delmonico's always hits for me from the apps to the desserts. Caesar and the chocolate cake and when they have the Brussels sprouts, chef's kiss.”
“I found their steak and creamed spinach to be unimpressive”
“The delmonico cut at delmonico’s was actually surprisingly tasty.”
“If you like a fancy steakhouse vibe this would be the one to do.”
“Delmonico's is much more than a Steakhouse (their best stuff is the seafood and dessert IMO) it's an NYC institution”
“Delmonico’s has the best rib eye in NYC”
“I was impressed with their dry aged ribeye not so much with the dry aged New York strip.”
“Delmonico's is one I go to every time RW pulls around.”
